Upcoming Features

The following features are on the LicenceForge roadmap. This page provides a high-level overview of what is planned for future releases.

Note

These features are planned and subject to change. Timelines, scope, and implementation details may shift based on development priorities and community feedback.

Multi-Site Network Licensing

Support for WordPress multisite networks, allowing a single license to cover an entire network installation. This will include network-wide activation management, per-subsite tracking, and centralised license administration from the network admin dashboard.

Usage-Based Metering and Billing

A metering system that tracks API calls, active sites, or custom usage metrics against configurable thresholds. This will enable pay-as-you-go pricing models, overage billing, and usage-based tier upgrades integrated with Stripe metered subscriptions.

Customer Self-Service Portal Enhancements

Expanded capabilities for the customer-facing portal, including the ability for end users to view their license history, manage activations, download past invoices, and upgrade or downgrade their plans without requiring admin intervention.

Advanced Analytics and Reporting Dashboard

A redesigned analytics interface with richer visualisation options, including trend charts for activations and validations over time, geographic distribution maps, version adoption curves, and exportable reports for revenue forecasting and churn analysis.

Webhook Outbound Notifications

The ability to send outbound webhook notifications from LicenceForge to your own endpoints when license events occur. Supported events will include license creation, activation, deactivation, expiration, and renewal. Webhooks will support configurable retry logic and HMAC signature verification.
